I was watching celebrity deathmatch on MTV and I thought of possible match-up. How about Christopher Lee vs. Sean Connery. Christopher Lee would easily kick Sean Connery's a**.

Hmmm..while I enjoy Celebrity Death Match because of its amusing qualities, I can't see Mr. Lee wanting to be included with a bunch of losers that are mainly featured on that show. Of course, Mr. Lee has no choice in the matter, MTV can use his likeness just as they've used others before. While I believe Mr. Lee has a great sense of humor, I don't think it dips as LOW as MTV, but I could be wrong - just my OPINION. |

I didn't think anyone would actually respond to that post I just did. I was just getting a rise out of everybody.

A clay rendition of Mr. Lee against a clay rendition of Sean Connery? They wouldn't have to throw punches or furniture; the banter alone would make it a great show (but I'm afraid the MTV crowd wants violence over logic).
I'd like to see Mr. Lee, Mr. Connery and Charlton Heston in a room together talking about anything. Throw in William Shatner and you'd have a real cross-section of the men of Hollywood who really worked in the trenches in the golden age. That would be worth tuning in, in my opinion.

It makes me wonder Jurious. For some reason you think Mr. Lee is above A LOT of things! =) He's not Christ you know, he's Christopher Lee! I have a feeling he's got a sosphisticated sense of humor, yes, but I'm sure he's up for some slapstick humour every once and awhile. At any rate, does Celeb Deathmatch require the said actor's approval before using their likeness?

I suspect that if he thought it was fun enough, he'd give it a try (though whether the Deathmatch people would contact him to do the voice acting's another matter).
Remember, he did do (and appeared to have great fun in) Police Academy 6 or whichever one sported the subtitle Mission to Moscow... Or, for that matter, The Stupids (which is a great deal of fun).
I also forgot to add: in The Films of Christopher Lee, there are several anecdotes that make it clear that Mr. Lee had (still has?) quite the taste for really rotten practical jokes. :D
Now as for Deathmatch itself-- I suspect we'd be more likely to see a three-way Darth Maul/Darth Vader/Count Dooku battle than a Lee vs. Connery one.

Super idea! Dooku would kick the other two Siths butts of course though without much trouble. After all, he made short work of Obi Wan and Anakin together right?

Those Celebrity Deathmatches usually involve two humorously mismatched personalities. Since Mr. Lee is a senior actor, we would need a very different guy with a few years on him. I think Al "Grandpa" Lewis of the New York Green Party (and Munsters fame) could probably annoy him to battle, politically and personally! BTW, I'm a silk stocking Dem of the old school myself, and some of my best friends are arch conservatives.;)

That'd be funny-- especially if both men did their own voice acting-- but usually the Deathmatch pairings are pretty obvious and made to appeal to a youngish MTV audience.

I'm kinda with Brandi - I'm sure this kinda thing would be fun, and I'm not saying it's so far below Mr.Lee or ought, but sometimes the kind of humour on Celebrity Deathmatch gets old fast, and has a certain cringe factor sometimes.
Now, the Sith face-off would be a thing to see, I'd vouch for that! As long as it was well done! :D It'd be extra cool if all the cast did the proper voice-overs, too!
I know Mr.Lee's not Christ, SR - he's just God. (joke) :winky:
OK, perhaps I just have that much respect for him that I forget he's human too. :D Don't hold ought against me - I just get carried away sometimes.

If this ITV show were still running, I wonder if they would have done a Lee puppet by now. They did one of Vincent Price (was Price still alive at the time of the programmes ????).
I also recall on the SCARS OF DRACULA commentary Lee having great admiration for Bob Todd and Benny Hill - vividly recalling their great send up of Fanny Craddock and Johnny (which I saw again recently and had to wipe the tears of laughter)

I remember seeing the special with the Price character. One odd gag they had with him was having him eat the face off another character he was seated next to at a dinner party. I suppose had the show been made a few years later they would've changed the diner to Anthony Hopkins...

From one show to another... I remember The Simpsons bringing Vincent Price into their programme after his death - though someone did a marvellous imitation of his voice. So Mr.Price may or may not have been alive at the time of the programme... I suppose many people could have done his voiceover.
I'm just gonna digress again, but has anyone seen the Disney film 'Basil the Great Mouse Detective', in which Mr.Price did the voice of the villain 'Ratigan'? That was very good! One of my childhood fave villains! :P
