Wendy Wood is an unknown quantity at this point
I recently saw a book in a McFarland catalog. It is called TERENCE FISHER Horror, Myth, and Religion. The author is Paul Leggett. The synopsis says the following: This critical study begins with an introduction that provides biographical information on Fisher's film career, summaries of all the films he directed and examples of his impact on contemporary cinema. All of Fisher's films are analyzed in terms of their Christian and religious themes as well as their mythical sources. The book is softcover and the ISBN is: 0-7864-1167-8.
Peter Cushing is on the cover. The website is www.mcfarlandpub.com and the terlephone number is 1-800-253-2187. The books in this catalog are not always found on regular book sites or bookstores. So, some of you may not be aware of this book.

You are right in saying that these books are rarely avalible to bookstores (who usually cannot even special order them). However, I would caution anyone going to their site that these books are quite expensive. I have the book "Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing and Horror Cinema" but I didn't pay full price for it so I would be hard-pressed to say if it was worth $50. I would try to find a review somewhere first. Amazon.com and bn.com both carry book reviews and ratings by customers. Sometimes on-line companies can get books that stores cannot.
