I just received my DVD of Funny Man with CL and Tim James. I have never watched this movie before, but it seems to have an interesting plot. I was wondering how those who have seen this film would rate it. :bounce:

Well, i myself enjoyed this movie.
I found this movie very funny and i liked the gore scenes too, which it has.
All done however in a fun way.

We've discussed this movie before:

It was an interesting film. I'm not sure if I liked it or not though.
I have no shame in saying that I had nightmares for a week after seeing it. Of course maybe I have an unrealized phobia over funhouse-type situations and characters. Who knows.

Well , as they say , one mans' meat is another mans' poison but I think Funnyman is one of the worst Horror films ever to come out of Britain . When it was first released I was very anxious to see it due to my great love for British horror . The fact that Christopher Lee was in it only heightened my anticipation .Then I saw it.........dreadful . Now don't get me wrong , I enjoy a whole range of Horrors from Hammer to Argento and a whole lot in between but Funnyman is an embarresment .

I haven't seen this film - and I'm not sure I'm gonna bother. I heard that Mr.Lee really was appalled by this picture, and tried to distance himself from it upon its release. He's not in an awful lot of it anyway, is he?

To say that an actor gives that kind of reaction to a film he is in really does put me off. I know Mr.Lee was none to keen on his many returns to Dracula, but that's different, IMO.

I'll keep an open mind then, and if the chance comes to see it, I will - then I'll give my opinion! :P

I guess it must be a British thing, I had a hard time getting into the plot of this movie. The humor was a little too bizarre for me. Thank God I didn't pay a lot for it on Ebay!!:disturbed

You know, it just might be a British thing, but I love both Brit horror and comedy yet still couldn't like this film...as much as I tried. Neither frightening nor funny in my opinion. Reminded me of a sort of melding of elements from those dreadful Leprachaun movies combined with elements of Ade Edmondson and Rik Mayal's hilarious television series Bottom, unfortunately without being half as entertaining as either of them (please note that I despise the Leprachaun movies so that really is saying a lot!). Amazing to find a film that even Mr. Lee's presence doesn't improve, but this is it! Give me Howling II any day of the week...

Cheers!
