With 2 of the most long awaited Christopher Lee films coming to DVD in the fall(Horror of dracula and Curse of Frankenstien) it seems like finally our dreams of most wanted DVDs are coming true. I wonder what other Horror DVDs would be on everyones wish list.
My DVD wish list is as follows
Satans SkinBlood on Satans claw.. I have never seen this movie but here its real good
Shock Waves ..a great Peter Cushing zombie film i watch all the time with my grainy ep mode video
Devils Wedding Night ..a chessy 70s horror flick that may not be highly praised but i love it. A great midnight film

A Region 0 (PAL) DVD is available of SHOCK WAVES. The print though "Digitally Remastered" is pretty bad. No better than VHS i imagine.
I would love to see releases of (Lee titles)....
THE GORGON, DR TERRORS HOUSE OF HORRORS, HOUSE OF LONG SHADOWS, CURSE OF THE CRIMSON ALTAR, BRIDES/VENGEANCE/CASTLE/BLOOD OF FU MANCHU and TERROR OF THE TONGS
Karloff/Price/Cushing titles: Haunted Palace, Corruption, Madhouse, Capt Clegg, Frankenstein & Monster from Hell, Legend of Werewolf, Ghoul (1975), Targets, and many others

Mark,
i believe one of those Fu Manchu titles is in the works for later this year. Check past threads or DVD drive-in. It might be castle of Fu Manchu but i forget which one. I remeber We discussed it a few months back so it should be in the vaults here somewhere with release date and the company holding the rights

My two most wanted would be Frankenstein Must be Destroyed, and Curse of the Werewolf.

Thanks Fred. I bought the French FACE OF FU MANCHU a few months ago, which was great (with a bonus Lee interview in English).
I wonder if anyone has any info on the suicide of FU MANCHU regular Howad Marion Crawford (Dr Petrie). One of his last roles was probably in the "Stay Tuned" episode of THE AVENGERS where he looked rather ill.....

I would love to see a DVD release of DRACULA HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE. However, it would not be complete without a commentary by Christopher Lee and some of the rest of the cast.

Precisely. And I'd add to that, every Amicus. Dr. Terror's House of Horrors is available, by the way, in a PAL DVD. Just released in the last few weeks, I believe.

I've noticed that the video is available, but the DVD isn't yet...
I've also noticed that The 4 Musketeers is available on region 1 DVD, but not region 2 - at least that's what I've found. When will both the Musketeer films be available on Region 1 DVD? I'd love to own them, along wiht many other Chris Lee movies...

Both the 3 and 4 Musketeers are avialable on Region 1 DVD. Both will be rereleased by Anchor Bay sometime next year, also in Region 1. If I were you I would wait for the Anchor Bay releases. The current ones are poorly mastered.

One of his last roles was probably in the "Stay Tuned" episode of THE AVENGERS where he looked rather ill..... | I had no idea that Crawford committed suicide. All I knew was that he died of an overdose of sleeping pills, and, being me, just assumed he over-did it unintentionally. You are quite right about him looking terribly ill in that Avengers appearance, so perhaps there is a connection. Loved him as Watson opposite Ronald Howard in the 50's Holmes television series and of course as Dr. Petrie. I'll have to try a library as I can find no details regarding his death online.

I'm simply going by a late 70s magazine from what I recall, stated that he took his own life with an overdose of sleeping pills ~ how accurate that was I really don't know. Maybe it was accidental, I always thought it was suicide after reading the article though
