Hey, everyone...
...we've talked about our Christopher Lee collections, now how about our Peter Cushing goodies?
I've started this thread largely to brag about my newest acquisition, a GORGEOUS life mask of my second favorite actor of all time. I opened it just a few minutes ago, and am having a tough time keeping my eyes off it. It's indescribably magnificent. It's Peter Cushing!!!! The detail is astonishing...wrinkles, pores, every nuance and texture captured to perfection. It's almost frightening, frankly, and that's saying quite a lot for a guy who lives a great portion of his life in a room decked out from floor to ceiling with horror movie memorabilia. It's also very beautiful and serene.
I've also got a Peter Cushing bust, the 12" Grand Moff Tarkin figure from a few years back, the basic Tarkin, and the expected plethora of tapes, VCDs, laserdiscs and DVDs.
Heaven knows why my wife puts up with me. :D

I plan on making dioramas when i get the 12 " Christopher Lee figure . One thing i might try is dressing him up as SCAR from Shock waves. I have plenty of stores around me that sell 12" nazi clothing for soldiers just put a scar on him, cut the sleeves and you have scar.My wife has to put up with dvds, cds , toys and christopher Lee memorobilia...If i start collecting peter Cushing stuff....Divorce Court here i come. Dave if you have it displayed together in a room send in a picture i would love to see what you have. when i get my house this fall thats my goal a CL memorabilia room

My Peter Cushing collection is rather small, but it does include one major item. In addition to videos and DVDs:
Both volumes of his autobiography (unsigned.) ThePeter Cushing Companion (unsigned.) A Grand Moff Tarkin pin. A photo from Revenge of Frankenstein (autographed). And, the showpiece, a maroon silk necktie belonging to Mr. Cushing (acquired from a past president of the Peter Cushing Association who, in turn had gotten it from Joyce Broughton.)
The one item that I'm truly eager to add to my collection is a tape of his performance as Winston Smith in the legendary BBC production of 1984.

I meant to post on the Lee collection but just never got round to it .Most of my collection is comprised of videos and DVDs however my prized possessions are ... a personalised autograph of Christopher Lee , an unpersonalised one from Dracula AD and a pewter bust of Lee as Dracula .
As far as Cushing , ditto on the videos and DVDs and again , top of the heap is a beautiful early unpersonalised autograph circa 1958 ( studio publicity shot ) which I would'nt part with for anything . Also a pewter bust of Cuching as Van Helsing.
Amongst the collection is my copy of The Hammer Story by Marcus Hearnes . Probably the best book ever compiled on Hammer Horror which I have signed by 32 stars such as Martine Beswick , Ingrid Pitt ,Michael Ripper....etc.etc...etc.
A similar item was up for sale on EBay recently for over $500.00
If anyone is interesed in the pewter figures and busts of Lee & Cushing ( they have to be seen to be appreciated , they're fantastic ) contact ROLE MODELS 2A STONEHOUSE RD. LIPHOOK HAMPSHIRE UK. GU30 7DD......TEL. 01428 723083

2) THANKS for the address. I'm _very_ interested. I'm really into busts and statuettes and rare and unusual collectibles like that.
I have a Peter Cushing resin bust from Weird Werx, a Christopher Lee Dracula statuette from Wade's, my new PC life mask which started this thread (and GOD, I love it!!!!), and just arrived in the mail, right now, as I type, a Christopher Lee Dracula resin mini-bust (about 3" high--perfect for my desk!!!) from Role Models. I'll definitely contact them for info on the pewters. Thanks again!!
Fred--I'll get a photo posted one of these days. In a rush right now...gotta get to work. See ya!
