Conferencing Server and a bit about the Premium area

Our new dedicated server is the D's B's, everything state of the art, latest technology, blah, blah. Nasa uses the same conferencing software. which was developed by Cornwell University and formed the backbone for all video/chat servers available today, only our server is at least as modern as theirs and will be exclusively used for premium members and not thousand of users like the Paltalk network. It's as modern and reliable as the QT Streaming Server.

When it comes to client software, there is where I have my doubts. Personally, I prefer to use the Cu-Seeme client but the free trial period is limited to 15 days only. I had the full version for a while so it doesn't bother me. However, there is a free compatible client which can also be used and it is the most reliable software I've used so far. Doesn't look too pretty but does the job well enough only it's not compatible with all cams. You can hear and see everything without being kicked out but you'll need to find other drivers to make you cam work. Sound is as good as with the Cuseeme one.

I think both clients are compatible with each other since they use the same audio and video protocols. The faster the connection you have, the better the quality of sound you can choose and the same goes for the video.

Cable Modems and ADSL connections work like nothing you ever seen before, you can have open up to 16 cams at a time and the voice quality never deteriorates. Didn't try with more because of the client's limitations but our server can hold unlimited number of seats, although I doubt the limit of our resources will ever get put to test. You don't get kicked out of the room ever, just doesn't happen no matter how many people are in.

Good news for slow connections too, audio is very clear indeed on a modem, no sound break ups, no delays, nothing.

You can put up you cam if you wish with no effect on the quality of the sound, the only time you'll get problems is if you open other cams. Oscar was on a 56K connection during our tests and whenever he noticed any breaks in sound, he just closed the other cams down and then quality went back to normal. His cam was still on and had no effect having it on or off.

We are not talking beta stuff here, both clients and server software work like a dream and are a piece of cake to get to work.

We've done every test we need so we don't need to do anymore ourselves. If anyone wants to try it out for themselves, please reply here and I'll PM you the details. I will not post them here in case they get leaked out and before I know it, our server is the new home for an underground porno channel at nights.

A new live event is due soon after subscriptions for the new premiership area are online. In the first month, we'll only give out 20 or Mr Lee might get spamed to death. In the second another 50, and so on until the maximum of 500 is reached. Anymore than that, and we would need another Mr Lee and 5 more servers.

What we will have to do, so no ones feels discriminated is give access free but only to those members who buy the fan package, which will be a welcome letter by Mr Lee, an autographed pic, a membership card and some other stuff we know we can deliver so we cannot get sued for negligence. As soon as the number of packages are sold for the first month, they'll be taken down to avoid the ordering of more packages than we are prepared to sell.

The reason we cannot and will not sell access to premium membership, is that we cannot agree on terms and conditions and we hate to have to put up small print. If we give it out for free but conditional, we are free to operate as we wish. No one has done anything like this before and we do not want to be the guinea pigs of solicitors and the rest, instead we want to concentrate on doing what we do and not deal with, "He hasn't given me the answer I wanted, so I want my money back" or "I'll Draculate all I want, I paid for it." The Mike Kennedy's of this world will soon take over and for once have a leg to stand on. We still want to be able to ban people who disrupt or come looking for a fight.

The forums are self explanatory. Questions to Mr Lee will get answered with very few delays as they'll be done in writing and if he is not in London, they'll be faxed. So will all threads from the film forums, so he can exchange his own points of views and well as ask you for yours. Private letters is self explanatory, only he will be able to read them and answer back if he feels the need. No one else can read a thing in there other than Mr Lee and who wrote it. These will remain confidential.

CL WebTV. Since Mr Lee will not have to spend time doing videos to answer questions, he will have his own WebTV Channel. The first actor to have his own exclusive one on the net and he is very excited about it. He'll do a 1 hour show a month but knowing him, sometimes he will go well past the hour or even two hours, if he feels like it. If he wants to sing, we'll go down to a recording studio and film from there. If he wants to narrate a book, a story, he'll do so. Location will vary depending on what the weather is like and his mood. Members will be able to ring in at times during the broadcast and talk to Mr Lee in the last part of the program. Programs will broadcast once a month in QT streaming format and Real Player, if needed for slow connection. His channel can be accessed 24/7 to watch old programs. Everything will be recorded digitally. We already have a good head start with three hours of exclusive video footage, which will be the first thing to go up while the second one gets recorded. When he starts filming in September, The Ridding of the Laddie" or whatever the title may end up being, he might do the show from the set. Mr Lee has already told us that Christina and I would be welcomed on the set as long as we don't bother him to much, so that is going to be too cool. In between takes, he has nothing to do other than wait around.

Collector's Vault. All digital recordings from CL Web TV will be put up for sale but just 10 or 12 at a time, both in VideoCD and DVD format. Also a few other exclusive stuff .

There are more features, like the ability to upload your pictures, videos, etc as well as private album's, etc but I won't go into them just yet.

Well, that's about it for now. FAQ and the rest of the stuff ,as well as the actual contents of the fan package will go up as soon as Mr Lee gives his approval.

If you want to try it out, PM Jacob he has all the information and knows how the whole system works.

Just remember, the server is NEVER down because it's PERMANENT and if you cannot connect to it, you are not following his instruction correcly. At some point, I'll change the connections settings but it won't be before the first 20 members join. I'll set up some other web based indicators soon, so that you know who is in what room before you connect. In the premium section, you will just have to click on a link to automatically get in.

To whom ever put this site together in honour of mr lee I for one would like to thank you. I have been an avid fan of mr lee for some twenty plus years and I would like to know the procedure for obtaining the fan kit and autographed photo.

I don't know if mr lee will read this ( I hope he may) but I would like to share a little something. I remember when I was all of ten years old, here in australia and mr lee was filming
'the return of captain invincible'
in sydney.

Being eager as hell to speak to him and hear that wonderful voice I, as a little boy, rang the sydney sebel town house some 20-30 times in one day. This was where he was staying whislt in australia.

Later that evening I get a phone call and mum hands me the phone. I shall never forget this
This is Christopher lee I believe you have been leaving a few messages at the hotel. What can I do for you

Well I absolutley froze in my tracks and became a dumbstruck little kid. to wit my reply was lame Oh i think your really great . and who is captain invincible

the call ended there. This is a treasured memory and in hindsight i felt like such a fool but hey I was only a kid and it was some 20-25 years ago. I don't know anyone of his calibre that would bother to call a 10 year old little boy back. It made my day. I was on cloud nine for months.My parents where shocked that he called and their reaction was priceless

Mr Lee if per chance your reading this and If per chance you remember this situation. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
You made a little boy's dream come true and I shan't forget it.
Both Christopher Lee and ms Leni Parker (Da'an in Earth Final Conflict) are the only actors I consider worth watching there carrers in depth.

Now all i need to do is find some where on line where i can get ALL the hammer horror dracula movies as they are nigh impossible to get in australia and have been for several years

Thanks for letting me share and hopefully I can also join the premium club. It was so gratifying to see him in LOTR and Star wars. My flatmates think I am insane whenever the adds come on telly I freeze awaiting his presence on screen and that voice oooh that voice.

In the Premium Packages that will be offered, will the "welcome' letter be personally signed by Mr Lee, also are you going to have a new autograhed photo or are you just going to recycle the official photo from the autograph section? I would hope a new photo is used. Does anyone have any information regarding this matter?

Anyway, when people use CuseeMe.
Diable the following: Enable full duplex so i can speak while receiving audio'

This function is under preferences/advanced settings.
When you want to speak (voice) you'll have to press the microphone button on the upper left corner.
This way background noises will not be heard when someone isn't speaking.
There is a squelch option which you'll see when you set this program up.
Just move it to the left. Otherwise it will try to filter background noises, which can make the voice a bit choppy.
