Just found an article on Mr. Lee at a Russian site. No idea how the article reads, but if you read Russian cyrillic text, then click here and let us know! It looks like a bio of sorts, followed by some trivia, but I am just guessing.

Cheers!

No guess work on the trivia section Charles. I don't read or speak a word of Russian other than Da (yes), Nyet (no), and Smirnoff's (self explanatory). I did find it interesting that one of the entries under trivia mentioned the Miss World 1995 contest. Now my curiosity is up. I have a couple of Russian immigrant neighbors who hopefully speak enough English to translate this for us. We shall see.............

That's not Russian. It's, most likely, Greek. It could be Bulgarian or Serbian, I'm not familiar with their version of Cyrillic. But I'd bet it's Greek. In any case. . . Ni po-russkie.

It's Greek allright.
The extension on the url says .gr <--- which is for Greece.

I e-mailed a greek friend to translate it for me, dunno if he has the time.
If i get the translation i'll post it, unless someone else has allready done so. ;)

Which would explain why when I showed it to my Russian neighbor he got a funny look on his face and in heavily accented English said "Looks like Greek to Me.' And here I thought he was kidding!!

Now you know why computers will never replace human translators. Took me a second to figure out 'acephalous.':D

Greek huh? Well that explains why the Russian translator I've used very successfully in the past came up with sweet FA. Clearly I shouldn't post stuff before my first cup of coffee in the morning either as the 'gr' in the URL went by utterly without my noticing it...on the other hand, it seems to have kept you folks busy today, so not a complete loss, nor a waste of my time.

The only reason I noticed it at all is because I was backtracking links to my Holmes site. Always an interesting experience that, as you never quite know where you'll end up....clearly this time it was Greece!

Cheers!

Joe,

Try "Ya ty lyublyu (Yah tee lee-oob-lee-oo.)" It often follows "Da,'""Nyet," and especially "Smirnoff's." :1devil:

I thought it was "Ya tebya lyublyu," but then again it's been long while since I studied Russian.
