Ever since the AOTC was released, I have noticed that from the female membership there has been an upswing in posts of all manner. I'm not privy to membership statistics but I suspect a surge of new members of the feminine persuasion has also occurred.
Most entertaining to me are the hormonal moanings within some of the posts.
Holy Cow. I hope that when I turn 80 years of age there will somewhere be just one woman still wistfully recalling how studly I was the first time she saw me. I wouldn't bet on it though. Ladies sure like the "bad boy", and Count Dooku is a real baddie! On the other hand I am but a lowly well behaved commoner who has never hacked off so much as a finger of an adversary, let alone an entire arm. There never seems to be a lightsabre around when you really need one. |

Hello BrotherDave,
I'm sure you've seen it. . . check out the general discussion topic Swoon. I think you'll get a kick out of it.
Although I must say that the females on this website are quite well-behaved. I popped onto a LOTR website and was a little grossed out by some of the topics on Viggo and Elijah Wood.
Hence why I don't join things.
I skulked around here for months before joining. Must know what one's getting into. . . .

BrotherDave is right, he even received a few e-mails from love struck teenagers.
Not only that but as Mr Lee was about to get shoulder and neck massage at a Spa yesterday, all the females were fighting each other to see who was going to do it. A blond, tall and beautiful Russian won the argument and came out with a very big grin on her face. Mr Lee tried to look as normal as possible. To change conversation immediately and stop me from teasing him, he took me over to a painting and said in a very cheeky voice. "This one is from the Spanish Armada, so we want talk about that" everyone started to laugh out loud.
Christina also tried, but as we were walking down some stairs Mr Lee said "You are not going to jump down the stairs again to demonstrate one of your stunts, are you"? Again, laughter all over. Christina fell down some stairs a few years ago by accident, got up straight away unharmed and said "I know how to fall, I learned it from my father".
Eventually, we had to give up.:1devil:

No doubt about it BrotherDave, Dooku is sexy. But it's not because he's "bad". It's because he's intelligent, dashing, skillful, powerful, mysterious... Sexy is as sexy does. Morality doesn't enter into it. It's just a movie, after all. In real life, the bad guys tend to be vulgar imbeciles. Not sexy at all. Did you see Ben Kingsley in Sexy Beast? Yuck! That character was positively repulsive. I kept praying for someone to put him out of my misery. And I usually like Ben Kingsley. Of course, an excess of morality isn't very appealing either, e.g. Howie.

What I said was..."I hope that when I turn 80 years of age there will somewhere be just one woman still wistfully recalling how studly I was the first time she saw me." I realize that surely would have to have been a few years back for me....and for you too Doc. LOL :1devil:

Well I must defend the swooney females here. I was about 8 or 9 years old when I first saw Mr. Lee in a movie, and immediately had a crush. I not only had a crush on him, but on Peter Cushing as well. I like/liked well mannered British fellows for some odd reason. I think it's the level of intelligence that impressed me the most. Give me someone intelligent and with a decent demeanor over some foul-mouthed young hottie any day. The young ones are usually "hiding" some sort of deficiency behind their macho facade anyway. Here's to Peter and Christopher - what a wonderful duo they made, both pleasing to the eye and the mind!

Oh dear, looks like you guys are a trifle jealous!
There just no way that we females can deny the fact that CL is, even at the grand old age of 80, a very attractive man.
I have to add though that if he wasn't such an outstanding actor his good looks wouldn't be worth much except to his wife (who is incidently, also a very attractive person).
Good looks are always a catalyst for success but the most important thing is:
it ain't what you do it's the way that you do it !

For me Mr Lee is very attractive and still is at the age of 80. I hope I will age just as natural and still be attractive for my husband (I'm not married). I've had a crush on him but not anymore. I hope this isn't going to be an embarrissing post for him if he reads it.
Not intended to be. I am allowed to have crushes on men but I keep it on men with the same sexuality as I have.

His looks and acting ability get our attention, but I think the 41-year marriage has lasted because he seems to be a genuinely kind, loving and lovely man. I think his wife is very lucky (and I'm sure he thinks he's lucky to have her!)

I hope this isn't going to be an embarrissing post for him if he reads it. | I think he'll take it in the spirit in which it's intended. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if there's a fair number of guys who think he's attractive as well.

OK, it took me alot of guts to admit it, but I do have a real crush on Count Dooku at the mo - and whether thast counts for also having a crush on Chris Lee, I don't know! I've always seemed to find villains attractive, but there's something so suave about Dooku, so sophisticated and elegant, that i can't help but feel how I do...
I think the main thing is his voice! What a gorgeous voice!
Anyway - I tried out drawing a young Count Dooku - what d'ya think?: :P
