Before I knew that this film starred Chistropher Lee, Peter Cushing, Vincent Price, and John Carradine, I used to see it in video stores all the time. When I learned it starred my favorites. . . Now I can't find it anywhere. Ach!

Yeah, House Of.... is a great film. I remember sitting up till 4am just to switch my video recorder on several years ago and the damn tape ended five minutes before the film did aaarrrrggggghhhh !!!! Luckily such classics are shown at regular intervals so I now have a decent copy of the film. |

I love this movie! I'm going to have to get a copy of it from Half.com or someplace, because I can't remember most of the plot, but I recall thinking it was a blast having all those favorite horror guys together. Cara |

I haven't watched this in quite a while, but I do recall it being very entertaining with all those talents rolled into one film. I wish some director/producer could create that atmosphere again for fans like us.

Rep Power: 0 | House of the Long Shadows is an enjoyable film, although the prints I've seen have all been pretty awful. Definitely a film that could use a nice cleaned up print for a DVD release. Now if only they could edit out Desi Arnez Jr while doing so... Trivia: House of the Long Shadows is the 6th film to be based on the novel Seven Keys to Baldpate by Earl Derr Biggers, with the original stage treatment being developed by George M. Cohan. For those that aren't aware of Biggers, he is probably best remembered as the author that created Charlie Chan. Cheers!

"House of the Long Shadows" is attainable...I just purchased an original VHS of it about two months ago on eBay. It's previously viewed, but in its original box which is in very good condition. Got it for fifteen bucks. Perfect video quality, as good as it gets in VHS. Such a charming film, even with Desi. :) I understand this film _will_ be reissued sometime in the next year. On DVD it'll be absolutely incredible! Dave |

Sure, it's great to see Mr. Lee, Vincent Price, Peter Cushing and John Carradine in a film together, but did you realize that the ol' Bride of Frankenstein herself, Elsa Lanchester, was set to play the sister role?! Not to take anything away from the marvelous Sheila Keith, but Elsa would have been absolutely fabulous in that scene where the sister gets all choked up singing 'The Force of Destiny'!  Can't wait for it to come out on DVD! Now THAT'S a commentary track I'd love to hear Mr. Lee record! Rick |
