If anyone has ever imagined their ultimate football team or line up for a movie then surely you can imagine a part that you would have loved to see Christopher Lee play whether in the past or future .
Personally I think he would have been the ultimate Captain Hook in Peter Pan . Just look at his pirate movies or musketeer
adventures..........ah if only .

I have a romance novel I'm writing that he would be great in the lead, but I don't think there's a lot of chance for that! HEHE!

Ok, this is a dream role right? I would like to see him play Mohammed Ali Jinnah the founder of Pakistan. I think he would be perfect for the part. He would get to play a courageous national hero and inspire a generation of future leaders!
This dream may have already come true for those of you in the rest of the world, but here in the USA it still sadly is only a dream. I feel like I'm being punished, handicapped and hamstrung because I am in the USA! I want to see it on the big screen at the cinema. I want to sit there with my bucket of buttered popcorn and cold Diet Coke and see this great actor play what he, and everyone else who has been fortunate enough to see it, considers one of his greatest roles.
It simply isn't fair that we can not see this film here. It is already made. Prints already exist that aren't even being used right now! Send some over. Run them. If you run them, we will come!

I think he would be perfect in a musical of The Christmas Carol. He would play Scrooge.
The remake of Old Dracula play originally by David Niven.
Richard III.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer Ultimate Villian.
Captain Nimo
BlueBeard
Romeo and Juliet, he would play her father Lord Capulet, Also a musical.
Prince John of Robin Hood.
Caprice

Here's my contribution to the 'dream roles' roll call: Historical:
Emperor Tiberius.
Tsar Ivan the Terrible.
General Lord Kitchener. Literary:
Don Quixote
Professor Armitage (in The Dunwich Horror.)
Melmoth (in Melmoth the Wanderer.)
Dr. Pangloss (in Candide.) Dramatic:
Dr. Faustus.
MacBeth.
Coriolanus.
Marat (in Marat/Sade.) Operatic:
Gessler (in William Tell.)
Coppelius (in Tales of Hoffmann.)
Boris Godunov.
The Flying Dutchman.
And finally, one book I would love to hear Mr. Lee read: Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. The majesty of his voice is well suited to the majest of the topic.

I could definitely see him as Captain Hook (the way he looked as the old Rochefort was perfect!). I am going to also agree with Mr. Lee that I would love to see him do MERLIN...and i think he could've pulled off GANDALF as well. Although I'm obliged to think SARUMAN was the perfect part for him, ever.

Dr. Alfonso, thanks for posting your very complete and well thought out list. Don Quixote would really be a fine choice. Mr. Lee often says he wants to do Quixote and also play Merlin. I think Mr. Lee should get what Mr. Lee wants.
Mr. Lee's voice is better than ever, so why not do two musicals, beginning with "MAN OF LA MANCHA" please! It has been 30 years since the Arthur Hiller version starring Peter O'Toole. It could stand updating a bit and a more exciting rewrite with more action scenes.
A new musical version of Disney's "SWORD IN THE STONE" would also be a nice Lee vehicle. Merlin has a large role in that. The SWORD would have a built-in audience of babyboomers who saw the animated version and would charge back to the threatre to see the live action film! Also, you could go back to the book for a more accurate telling of the tale instead of Disney's toned down action. This would give the film a new ending and much more action.
Lots of good ideas are out there, but these are just two of the ones I had.

I would sell a body part (probably only my kidneys would be acceptable) to see Mr. Lee play The Mikado.

So many good ideas posted.
I just finished reading Susan Cooper's Over Sea, Under Stone and I think Mr. Lee would be excellent as Hastings or Merry Lyon.

I love your choices Alfonso. Very good, although he don't see him in the "Scottish play" (the "M" word). My two favourite choices would be Don Quixote and Tsar Ivan the Terrible. But I'm not too sure about Lord Kitchener as he does not look like him.

There are a lot of great suggestions posted here.
I know Mr. Lee would love to play Don Quixote and Merlin. Those movies would be great for him. I also would like to see a movie made from the poem Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner, I love that poem

I remember reading a interview last year where the magazine, i believe Filmfax, said I think you can play anything...and Mr. Lee said almost anything I cant play a young leading man anymore...Well fiddlesticks, make up and CGI can fix that...I know in a earlier post Giles father on Buffy was mentioned and i would like to see that...Also someone mentioned Captain Nemo wow is a movie in the works cause i would say we are do for a remake and he would be perfect...I would love to see him as the Duc again in Devil Rides Out (no..not a western)I read the book last year and he is an older man than CL originally played....Gee other than that i agree with the earlier posting about seeing him in this ...what is it..Jinnah movie based on the game i imagine..never heard of it..I wonder if hes good in it??..I cant think of any other actor who has played so many differnet fact and fictional charactors as Mr. Lee. He is still as amazing as ever..and finally hes an action figure!!!

You don't see your father doing MacBeth? Why not? I've always thought your father's screen persona loans itself to the political/psychological thriller genre. THE SALAMANDER or BEAR ISLAND for example. I'd love to see him do more films like that.
I see MacBeth as being the grand-daddy of all poltical/psychological thrillers. Afterall, its basic plot is that of a 'dictator' who experiences pangs of conscience after a coup d'etat.
As for Kitchener. . . You're right. . . but a big old moustachio can hide a lot. ;)
