I can't vote on this poll because my favorite CL film of all time isn't one of the four choices. TMWTGG. I would vote for that. Also having just seen AOTC one time I must say it will give TMWTGG a run for top honors on my list.

TMWTGG = The Man With The Golden Gun.
But as I said TMWTGG is in danger of being replaced by Attack Of The Clones. Perhaps I'm only being nostalgic for my youth but TMWTGG in my opinion was the most powerful CL performance. It is my favorite James Bond film because of the power of the performance by Mr. Lee. It was also a very major film outside of the horror vein and CL completely captivated my attention. I've only seen Clones twice. But, it is an excellent CL vehicle. In both of these movies CL is so good that he completely steals the film away from the leads. After many years at number two, The Wicker Man has been bumped down on my list all the way to number 4. That doesn't mean I don't like it just as much as I always have, it is only that within the past year two movies came out that simply BLEW ME AWAY, and I have a feeling that more are coming...and sooner rather than later.
Current Top 5 would be something like:
1- (TIE) TMWTGG and AOTC
3- LOTR-TFOTR (Lord of the Rings-The Fellowship of the Ring)
4- The Wicker Man
5- Airport '77
Somewhere between 6 and 10 would fall Hound of the Baskervilles, The Mummy, COF (Curse of Frankenstein), HOD (Horror of Dracula) and the campy Horror Express but I can't rank them right now. It was hard enough doing a top 5!
:D

I loved "I, Monster". You know, what's so special about all this to me is that everytime I ever saw one of these movies it was between midnight and 3AM when I was in highschool. What a great time in my life! So going back over these movies brings all that back to life for me.
I admit, I haven't seen many of CL's movies beyond the Dracula ones. I saw, "The Keeper", but while he was interesting I didn't like the rest of the movie at all. "I, Monster" was fun because of that contrast that he acted out so brilliantly of a very pent-up, shy, constrained person to a real pervert totally without morals.
My favorite scene was the one where he was on the playground with the little girl, looking at each other between the monkey bars. He looks at her with a pleading look on his face, as if to say, "You'll accept me for who I am, right?" and the girl takes a really good look at his nasty face and yells, "Yeeeeeucccccck!" and runs off. Christopher's reaction of dismay always makes me absolutely roll with laughter!
Sorry, but I'm in this happy place where I'm remembering all the fun I had about 17 years ago. Thanks to everyone on this site for making this possible for me. I really needed the cheering up!
And thanks to you, too, Mr. Lee.

And mine favorite is Three muketeers, especially because CL plays Rochefort, and that's my all-time favorite character - such a good combination for me!

I just saw AOTC and I loved it. It was absolutely thrilling. I felt like I was 10 years old again, seeing Mr. Lee for the first time on the big screen and saying, "Ohmygod, will you look at him!" It is certainly a favorite, but I can't really say if it is THE favorite. Other favorites include:
I, Monster
Dr. Terror's House of Horrors
Horror Express
City of the Dead
Corridors of Blood
The Three Musketeers
Treasure Island
The Horror of Dracula
Dracula Has Risen From the Grave
The Wicker Man

I could easily do a Top 50, but there we are.
Let's see...I make no apologies for loving the Draculas, so they'll dominate the higher positions on my list:
1) Scars of Dracula
2) Taste the Blood of Dracula (UNCUT...it's vastly superior!)
3) Dracula Has Risen from the Grave
4) Dracula AD 1972
5) The Satanic Rites of Dracula
6) The Wicker Man
7) The Man with the Golden Gun (can it be...BrotherDave and I
agree?)
8) House of the Long Shadows
9) The House that Dripped Blood
10) The Face of Fu Manchu
11) The Devil Rides Out
12) The Three & Four Musketeers
13) Hound of the Baskervilles
14) AOTC
15) LOTR
The latter two are just too new for me to list them higher. They haven't stood the test of time, finding their permanent place in my heart. In time, perhaps. :)

I do not think I have seen The House that Dripped Blood what is that about? It sounds like one of his mid-sixties.

Hi, Caprice...
"The House that Dripped Blood" is a _wonderful_ Amicus anthology film from, I believe, 1970. It's a great compilation of short tales, like "Tales from the Crypt" and "From Beyond the Grave." My personal favorite Amicus.
Mr. Lee plays the father of a little girl whose mother just happened to be a witch. The little girl, of course, has inherited some of her mother's "talents." Spooky little story.

Dave! I remember that story! Another night of propping my eyeballs open so I could tape that one, and I didn't tape the rest of the movie, just his part. It was a good one!

Oh, yeeeeeeeeeeaaaahhhhhh..."Serial!!!" I'd nearly forgotten about that movie!! Saw it only once, when it first came out, as I recall. Surely one of the more "unique" roles Mr. Lee ever played! :D I remember it being _hysterically_ funny.
Hmmm...I suppose that's long OOP. Gotta look that one up on eBay!
