There's a new dvd released in France from the French t.v. series: Les Redoutables.

Just found this out a few minutes ago.
http://www.amazon.fr/exec/obidos/tg/detail...6500526-1792943

My French is pretty poor (Ces't terrible) but ala, i ordered it anyway.

Here's a trailer for cable modem: Click here
And one for Dial ups: click here

As far as i now Mr Lee introduces the episodes and he's in one or two different episodes himself.
Seen one episode somewhere with Mr Lee and it was quite good.
Think along the lines of The Twilight Zone, Ray Bradbury Theater, something like that.

Well i finally got this dvd today.
It took a while to get this dvd. I ordered it as soon as i saw it was available. But it never arrived on my doormat for some reason. It's either lost or stolen. :(

After some emailing with Amazon France they agreed to send me another copy for free, which arrived a day later. Today. ;)

Unfortunately i'm not really able to follow the stories. All is in French, including Mr Lee who speaks fluently French...and there are no subtitles.

I saw 3 chapters/stories. There are 13 in total.
The first was too hard for me too follow, so i missed the point of that one.
The 2nd one however didn't have that much dialogue and i was able to follow that one, which was really entertaining.

The 3rd one, was the final story on the disc with Mr Lee playing the Grim Reaper/Death who does this wonderfully.
A priest holds mass and after that, there is confession time.
Getting bored with it he does crossword puzzles, play with his game boy and finally fills in his tax forms while listening to the confessions. The last person who enters the confession booth however is Death.
And than the dialogue becomes important. So, i don't know what really is going on, or what Death actually wants. The priest runs out of the confession booth and it starts to rain inside the church. Papers are flying around while Death keeps speaking to him. The priest tries to run away but is easily followed. A conversation follows and Death drops his scythe. The priest picks it up and Death leaves. End of story.
My thoughts are that Death has enough of his 'job' and wants the priest to be his follow up.
As i stated i'm not able to follow French that good, so i might be totally wrong.

The image quallity is excellent (widescreen) and the audio is Dolby Surround 2 channel.

If you understand French this dvd is highly recommended.
And if you don't understand French (like me) it might be a nice addition to you Christopher Lee dvd collection. :)

Downside, the dvd is a bit pricey. 27 Euro. (excluding shipping)
