Anyone seen the trailer to "The Two Towers" ?
Its been in a few theatres and is supposedly promised to be a preview when you go and watch Attack of the Clones (also featuring Mr. Lee)
The trailer is done extremely well and does have some Mr. Lee shots. They've followed the books pretty close! I love it

that's cool .. now I can't wait for the Trailer to preview with the film , if it does then I'll be able to see it when I see the Attack Of The Clones movie , and I also heard that some of the TTT trailer is in the LOTR : FOTR , DVD also too . which I can't wait to see and buy also , I think that Count Dooku and Saruman the white are the most coolest charaters that Mr. Lee has played in a longtime , and I have seen the Epire Strikes Back on Fox channel when R2D2 got the file on BoBa Fett during the Star Wars connections part of the show where C3po said that if R2D2 pull out one more baddie it would put a strain on his circuits :) , and I thought that was kind of funny too , and I did catch part of the skit on comedy central on the movie too butnot all of it and it did some on Christopher Lee saying " horror star Christopher Lee is in the film playing Count Dooku " and it had a film clip where Mr. Lee said " Join me Obi-Wan and together we can destroy the sith " and the guy said as it jumped back to him he said " In the film ofcourse he plays Darth Tyrannus , not to be confused with Darth Maul or Darth Vader , and there will be a bad guy in the 3 star wars movie it's simply Darth Darth " :)
which I thought that was funny too .
Best Regards ,

Yes the connections videos were aired in Australia I think a few weeks ago, they have them up at www.theforce.net. They will be at the beginning of each movie they do on fox, let alone there will be another trailer at the end of one of them, or a mix of the other trailers

I saw some previews for the next movie when I saw LOTR this weekend. Looks fantastic! It said it will be out this Christmas. The scenery in these movies is just breathtaking!

You all are killing me w/ seeing the trailer already. I didn't know it was out yet! Can't find it on-line yet either, but it wouldn't be the same if it wasn't large screen. So do you get to see any Ents like Treebeard? They are such a large part of the film that they are of course in The Two Towers, but I wonder if they made the first trailer. The people at WETA are great, but I'm a little worried at how well they can pull off the Ents. They're not too easy too pull off and since on average are about 14 feet tall I heard they were all CG. There is som much landscape transversed in the Two Towers that I'm sure it's breath-taking.....

I can't find it either! :( I've seen AOTC 4 times to be subjected to the same 5 trailers each time I went, for not-so-interesting films - in other words, not one was a Two Towers trailer... *grumbles*
They better have it on before AOTC the next time I go to see it! I need to see that trailer!!!! ;)

Hey Darth Jurious, I know how you feel. I found the a version of the trailer on-line, but it's not the official release, and it skips. I just want to see it on large screen. They need to put in trailer listings along w/ movie listings.
On another note about The Two Towers, Frodo and Sam don't enter the picture until the second book. The whole first half evolves around Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli's hunt for the other two hobbits and the Ents vs Saurman (which will be great!). But do you think that Peter Jackson will make the audience go for half of the movie w/out even seeing Frodo and Sam? I think he should, but doubt he will in fear that the audience will have forgotten about the two. It just intersts me to see how he addresses it.
Anyway, I am now counting down the days until I pick up FOTR on dvd.......

Hi Bregalad! :D Glad I'm not alone in not having seen the TT trailer at the cinema yet!
As far as the TT story goes, I actually reckon that book 1 and 2 of TT integrate together - but to prevent confusion, Tolkien wrote one TT book concerned with Aragorn, Gandalf, Merry & Pippin and their adventures, whilst the other half is more to do with the Hobbits, Frodo and Sam travelling to Mordor.
If this is the case, then I should think that the two books will be integrated together for TT, so that we see all the action happening at once! :)
Any thoughts on that?

I saw the 2+ minute trailer for The Two Towers at the end of Fellowship of the Ring. That is, the last time I saw it. I believe that was back in March or April when it was still doing fairly well in theaters. They must've made new reels for the film with the added trailer because at the end of the picture when it fades to black the words appear ..."Coming Christmas 2002"...and then it goes into the trailer. It even shows Gandalf all in white, and for a brief moment when what's left of the Fellowship see him, he almost looks like Saruman! (just the way it was in the book when they thought it was Saruman spying on them!) A very cool trailer that left me biting my nails. There was good scene with Mr. Lee brooding at Isengard over his books and palantir.

At the theatre here where I live, I saw a screening of the film with the brand new trailer attached while the new final reel was being tested the night before they released the trailer to the public.
Talk about feeling like I was eight years old ALL OVER AGAIN!! I went back for the next three days to see it each night during the last showing at 8:30 pm. I wish I could have seen my eyes the first time I saw it......
I was so enthralled by these pictures finally being made into a live action movies, that I own 19 full price admisson movie tickets PROUDLY for LOTR: FOTR.
I enjoyed GREATLY how the trailer ends, with Andy Serkis (Smeagol) creeping up to Frodo & Sam................
"AND WE WANTS IT," followed by a boom, somewhat similar to that which occurs when Sauron is destroyed from physical form during the opening sequence of the film, and then.......
DIRECTED BY
PETER JACKSON
as for me though,
The greatest TRILOGY of ALL, COMES TO LIFE:1roll:

Hi Jurious, I agree that they the two books will be intertwined throughout the movie. It's going to be great to see Smeagol be a companion to Frodo and Sam for so long. Gollum really is a great character and Gandalf was wise when he told Bilbo to have pity on him.
Thanx for the link Jacob.
I have an interesting fact about Lord of the Rings that you all may not have heard yet. If it wasn't for the movie Godzilla, the Lord of the Rings trilogy would not be coming out yet. Strange, but let me explain.......Before the movie was seriously conceived of being made Peter Jackson came to Weta Digitial and said that he had two ideas for future movies. One was Fellowship of The Rings, and the other was King Kong. Peter was always a big fan of King Kong and he wanted to do one right. So it was decided, to the dissapointment of many, to go w/ King Kong and the Weta Digital team went into 9 months of R&D on King Kong and were getting ready w/ all of the provisions for the movie. But at the end of that time both Mighty Joe Young and the new Godzilla were released. The studio that was picking up King Kong for Peter Jackson (sorry, I forget who it was) decided to pull the plug. They thought that w/ Godzilla just recently coming out that it would dilute the market and it wasn't worth pursuing King Kong. So Peter had to fall back to Lord of The Rings, which was picked up by New Line Cinema, he was given a much bigger budget so it would be done right, and w/ all of the support was convinced to make all 3 books into movies. Strangely, I am now a much bigger fan of Godzilla........
I was told this story in LA at a presentation given by someone on the Weta Digital Team. It's funny how some things come to fruition.....

A couple of bits of info
PJ has said they will be intercutting all the stories into each other, in fact TTT starts with Gollum in the Grey Marsh if the rumours are true. King Kong was in development with Universal who are now very interested after seeing how well FOTR did so maybe PJ will do that after ROTK.
