somebody mentioned the howling 2. I heard that it was a terrible movie. Is it the only werewolf movie Mr. Lee made ? How are the special effects and the make-up ? Any details on the plot (if there is any) availible ? What did Mr. Lee say about the film ?
Even if it was bad, it completed Mr. Lee "monster circle"
(werewolf,mummy,vampire, mad scientist (Gremlins 2)......)
By the way : did Mr. Lee ever acted as the "ghost "
(a christmas carol, the ghost of canterbury ....) ?

A Christmas Carol wold be an excellent role for CL -- as either Scrooge or Marley.

In a word- dreadful movie. The end title sequence which repeats Ms Danning ripping open her blouse and cutting to several reaction shots from throughout the film is an embarrassment ,and the werewolf makeup shows you how proper lighting and editing is required to sell an effect. Lee in punk outfit (glasses & leather ) reminds me of Sir John Guilgud apearing at a Bow Wow Wow concert in a minor comedy film...

.. the punk rock scene I mention is much better done in the recent film BLADE...

HOWLING 2 simply is abysmal. Mr. Lee, when he first saw the werewolf make-up, thought he`s on the set for PLANET OF THE APES. The plot has Stefan (Chr. Lee), the Van Helsing character, travelling to Transylvania to find and to kill his werewolf sister (Sybil Danning), who`s having pervert sex parties with her lycanthropous friends (including DRACULA A.D.ยด72`s Marsha Hunt). Ferdy Mayne has not much more than a poorly filmed guest appearance.
The late Mr. Mayne, by the way, was Mr. Lee`s sparring partner in a short titled CROSSROADS in 1955. He was playing a pianist, while CL appeared as - a ghost.

Howling 2 is a very bad movie, but I have to admit to enjoying watching it. It has many various points of ignorance, bad dialogue, and cheesy FX, but some damned reason I still like to watch it.

One of those reasons I think is CL in it. Playing a determined, butt kicking werewolf hunter, he brings credibility to the whole thing. And I think he looks cool in his well dressed, all black suit and black leather gloves.

Although Sybil Danning is quite the looker, the sex in this film was just too much.
