Happy New Year Everyone!!

I hope Santa Claus was good to each and everyone of you, and that you got whatever your little hearts diesired this Christmas.

Santa Baby was good to me! I got a DVD player. One of the several titles I purchased was Scars of Dracula. I highly recommend this one as it has a bonus disc included. A 1995 interview conducted with Mr. Lee at his {then?} home. It is a wonderful interview. He shows us some of the props he has collected from his many films, shows some photos from his own collection, and more. At the very end of the interview, he gives a little "tribute" to his two best friends Vincent and Peter. {This is how he refers to them on the disc, as he felt that he didn't need to say their last names. {He held up a photo of each of them, of course with Christopher in each photo!}
Also included on this disc are two musci videos he did with a singer named Nick {I think this is his first name,} Carter.

See and Hear Mr. Lee sing in Italian! He has a wonderful voice, as alot of us fans know already. Plus one other song that he hadly sings in {when he does use his voice, it's to "rap" out -sort of- the lyrics.}

I also got a trailer DVD of Hammer films, plus a few other titles, that I won't bore you with because they have absolutely nothing to do with Mr. Lee.

This info. is probably old news to alot of the fans out there, but to others obviously not. So I just thought I'd pass it along, for what its worth.

I have seen LOTR, more on that later. I am off to Virgin Records to seek out more Hammer DVD's Or anything else with Peter, Christopher and or Vincent in them!!

PEACE TO ALL!!

DAISY!!

These 2 music videos are with Gary Curtis.
Dunno if this Nick Carter can sing. ;)

The dvd release from 'Scars Of Dracula' is indeed great.
Anchor Bay did a wonderfull job adding the extra disc with these
goodies. :)

Hi FredB & Everybody!!

Just read your post. Thanks for the heads up on that film book. Next time I'm over there, I will try and remember to look for it.
Usually, I've been checking out their DVD's and that's been about it. {That applies to anyplace I go like this. Video store, whatever.}

Lately, that's all I've been purchasing. So many titles, so little money! Oh well, I am happy with the ones I have been able to get. As the saying goes "I have what I have."

And speaking of which....
I came across a DVD that just :shocked: me!!
I didn't think this would be available anyway, let alone on DVD!

The other day I was on the Critic's Choice Video website
{{Tha'ts www.criticschoicevideo.com}.

Just checking out what they have. Naturally, my searching eyes went and checked out Sir Christopher's movies.
O.K., here's the :shocked:
They have a DVD copy of "IN SEARCH OF DRACULA"!!!!!

I said I have to let other fans know about this!! Because I have read a good amount of postings concerning what movies of his fans have, what ones that they would like to get, and what ones are slated for future release. And in not one of these postings do I recall anyone mentioning this.

Here's my question: if there are others of you that know that this is available, were you as surprised as I was?
I checked to make sure if this was the same documentary by looking at THE FILMS OF CHRISTOPHER LEE and yes, it is the very same one!!
So naturally I had to order it. Critic's Choice is selling it for $19.97 {well, 19$ and change. The total comes to $27 and change.}
They told me that they would send me an E-mail about my order, {on their site they tell you that they have received it, and will let you know.} [The last time I ordered from them I never received one, but I still got what I ordered. I hope this happens this time. If not, I can always try and call them and re-order it that way.]

ANYWAY.....

Speaking of books....

I have a few I just recently picked up, that I would like to tell everyone about.

"VAMPIRES: ENCOUNTERS WITH THE UNDEAD"
It mostly has various vampire short stories, but it does contain other things like vampires in pop culture, etc. {Some nice photos of Highgate Cemetery are also in there!}
I ran across this book at Barnes and Noble. It was on sale for $30.00. Its a good size {"coffee table size}, hardcover. When I went in there, I was looking for Sherlock Holmes books, I had found two paperbacks, and was on my way to pay for them. Walked down this one aisle, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw the vampires book. So I opted for that one!

The other two books I found at Borders:
"DRACULA IN LONDON"
"A day in the life of count Dracula. Bram Stoker's immortal tale of vampirism told the story of how Count Vlad Tepes came to London and met his demise at the hands of Abraham van Helsing's vampire hunters. But how did Dracula occupy his time when he wasn't stalking Lucy Westenra and Mina Harker? These sixteen stories take the infamous nosfertau on a tour of 1890's London-where he encounters such historical personages as actress Ellen Terry, young scientist Nikola Tesla, Edward, Prince of Wales, and a writer named Abraham Stoker-in this masterful anthology from some of the best authors to ever sink their teeth into vampire mythology...."

This book seemed different to me. I don't recall ever having come across one that dealt with Dracula in this way: Just what did he do in his spare time? He couldn't just sleep the night away. Even the Count himself needs to let his hair down, so to speak!

The other book I picked up is called: "THE COMPLETE IDIOT'S GUIDE TO:
This is definitely a fun and funny read!! I have to give credit where credit is due however: these last two books my best friend told me about. In her last couple of letters she has been telling me that she has gotten new vampire books, but failed {until just this last letter;} to tell me their titles.

Just previewed this post: I think I have talked long enough, for the time being!
Thanks again FredB for the head's up on that film book, I appreciate it.

Take care everyone!!
And remember: "Never toss a Dwarf!!"
{I know I more than likely screwed up this quote. My most humblest and sincerest of apologies! But I think I at least got the gist of it.}

PEACE!!
