I'm looking forward to picking this up. I'm an avid collector of action figures, and even though I already have Mr. Lee immortalized in plastic in the likeness of Saruman & Darth Tyranus, I'm eager to have him as Scaramanga too.

Wow! I have the Saruman and Dooku action figures perched proudly upon my shelf, too - but a Scaramanga would be cool!

Admittedly, I haven't seen the film The Man with the Golden Gun yet - but it's on next Wednesday on ITV for people in the UK! Wahoo! :D

That will be something...a Scaramanga figure. Too bad Saruman doesn't look like Christopher Lee that much. I think it's an excellent figure, but it doesn't really look like him to me. Perhaps they will do a better likeness with the Two Towers. I'm fairly pleased with the Count Dooku figure as well.

Hello,
Count Dooku's face on the Star Wars figure should be an exact duplicate of Christopher Lee's. Apparently the latest sculpting technology was used where the actual person stands in front of a camera. This camera has a scanner/laser with thousands of pinpoints that capture the facial surface and relates that back into a computer... something to that effect anyway.
Regards
Michael

The Lord of the Rings action figures used the same technology as the Star Wars ones - perhaps it's something to do with all the paint used on the LOTR toys that detracts from the detail.

You would have thought the SW figures would look less like their acting counterparts, due to their small size! Mind you, Mr.Lee has alot more hair as Saruman, which could make the action figure tricky to manufacture effectively - that may have something to do with it... or not. :P

If I remember correctly, the 12" Dooku is due out in the next couple of weeks. Have you guys seen scans of this figure? It's magnificent! Perfect likeness!
