Before I joined this web site, I visited many times. There are several Christopher Lee sites, and I looked threw most of them, but I kept coming back here.

Out of them all, I found this site to be well organized, very informative, and added the personal touch. I have learned more about Mr. Lee then I ever thought I would.

Your right 'Old Soul' I too have seen quite a few Christopher Lee related sites! I think this one is very different from the others (In my experience) because they were only linked film buff pages, stating their favourite 'Christopher Lee' films or their adapted artwork.........! Where as this site is dedicated to Mr Lee himself and his fans, with upto date info on future events etc...! I think Juan does have the edge over most as he is part of the family, but then that's where we notice the personal touch!

I personally stumbled over the site while looking for another, I saw it in a list of several...and was going to pass it away as 'Another Website'.....I'm glad I didn't!

The first search I made when we got our computer and the internet was for the Christopher Lee Fan Club. Imagine my delight to discover the wealth of information and friends here! I didn't know any other Lee fans as a teen, so this is wonderful.

im a huge Christopher Lee fan and have been since I was 12 years old. Since falling in love with his genre movies of the 60s and 70s I searched and discovered all his other work as varied as 'serial' to 'the boy who got got the shivers' (Not sure if that is the correct title) the point is I have followed this remarkable actors career for a long time and never had anyone to really talk to about him and his movies. My friends come over and see my movie posters and lobby stills on my wall and ask who is that? they arent even familiar with his work. Yet he has probally been in more movies than any other actor today. When I found this site I couldnt wait to talk to the other members who also feel as I do that the man can play any character (It seems like he has) and have also enjoyed his work as much as I have.True I love horror movies and mostly the Chris Lee/Peter Cushing Films but it was these movies that made me see movies like A feast at Midnight and the 3 musketeers and other non genre films all of which i enjoyed his performance. Who is the number one box office draw today? Tom Cruise ? I would rather see a bad Christopher Lee film than a great Tom Cruise movie anyday. I think a lot of people on the board feel the same way and thats why its a great site to me.

You're right there, Fred. Cruise, Pitt, Depp, Willis, Stallone, even really accomplished "modern" actors like Kevin Spacey or Al Pacino - none of them can hold a candle to Chris Lee. The man simply exudes star quality, that indefinable "presence", for want of a better word, that sets actors of his calibre apart from the bunch (although Spacey and Pacino are very fine actors).

There are very few of these real stars left nowadays. Mr Lee is, in my opinion, right up there with the likes of Spencer Tracy, Cary Grant and Jimmy Cagney, bona fide superstars, not these flash in the pan pretty boys skating by on looks/muscles rather than talent.

I mean, look at who passes for a so-called "star" these days - Steven Seagal, Jean Claude Van Damme, Adam Sandler for goodness sake???!! These guys can't act to save their lives!!

OK, rant over.

So I did, and I found this site, then I joined. I had to register 1000 times because it never seemed to work. :)

I am very glad I didnt give up - of course! :)

Hi,

I know I haven't been around much guys, and IM sorry.
I would firstly like to say a hugh Hi to those new members who i have not met at all, due to my absence from this place.
What made me join??
Well, along with Charles and Joe, and the locely Carmen and the rest of them, i signed up at the start.
I have always been a fan, i might not go around shouting it from the rooftops, but should that be the way of it?
I mean we all have our own personal likes and dislikes, there is no need to shout from the rooftops what they are - I prefer to just be a fan, and learn about what going on and meet new people who are fellow fans, and I ahve met a great bunch of them. Most of them now bucket loads more info than me tho :)

Over the past year and a half this website has gone through a number of changes and grown into a steady and lively community, and I thank Juan for putting up with us all :) Nice one mate :)

Well, thats pretty much all I wanted to say right now, unfortunately my university work has somewhat double in size and value. So altho I am online now and again, I haven't necessarily had he chance to come into the forums for a long time.

I hope to be back in here mch more often :)

Anyhow, take care everyone.

Vic

This website is for me not just a "website". It's a second home. I have met some wonderful people here that I have had the great fortune to meet in person and even though we live on
different parts of the globe it feels like we live next door. It's a very personal website in my opinion. The people who work here just doesn't work because they have to. They do it because they love what they do and they put there hearts in it. Sundays used to be a bad day for me before but now when there's local chats every sunday I can always have a goodnight sleep because the moment before I turn off the computer I have had a wonderful time in the chat room and I sleep with a smile:D.

This website has given me something that I treasure the most: FRIENDS. Thank you.:frostyang
