Christopher Lee's first portrayal of Sherlock Holmes was in the 1962 film
Sherlock Holmes und das Halsband des Todes which was released in a dubbed English version in 1968 as
Sherlock Holmes and The Deadly Necklace. Mr. Lee also provided on-screen narration for
The Many Faces of Sherlock Holmes which was presented right around the time that Steven Spielberg's
Young Sherlock Holmes was released theatrically in the mid-eighties. None of Mr. Lee's Holmes related films are currently available on DVD.
