Theatre Of Death Dvd & Long Shadows

I just posted a review of Anchor Bay's DVD of THEATRE OF DEATH. It's a stunning transfer and the Lee interview is really well done (www.dvddrive-in.com). As for the questions about HOUSE OF LONG SHADOWS, MGM currently owns the title since they obtained the Cannon film library. When it arrives on disc may be a long time due to troubles finding the proper negative/source print. I hope to have some more upcoming Lee DVD news soon!

Pity, Such a good film House Of The Long Shadows not to be on dvd. But I guess ill just have to settle with My Vhs copy with the oversize box for now. Better than nothing. If they do put the film out it would be great to see it in prestine dvd format Widescreen.

I still havent seen house of long shadows. I have seen the tape a few places but its the Elvira tape. Is this the only one ever released? I know its not out now but im not gonna mailorder or search for it if thats the only version? Or is it a good version? I dont wanna try to enjoy a film if she keeps popping in and out to make a joke. It ruins the mood ( Not that i dont enjoy looking at Elvira mind you) when Im watching a movie

I have a video of "House of the Long Shadows" with no Elvira. Sheesh! The very idea! How could they?!!! Nothing against Elvira, but I can't imagine her camping up such a wonderful film.

Found mine on eBay, though it took a while. Keep looking -- and be sure to ask questions before bidding.

The House of the Long Shadows is a must. These films are more like comedies that horror, too funny. Mr Lee going down those stairs was no stunt double neither.

A few years ago, Christina and I went to a hotel in Tumbridge Wells. On Tuesday morning, we both had to get up very early so we could return to London and go back to work. Coming out of the Hotel, Christina tripped and went down the stairs like a bullet, she overtook me and fell very hard on the street pavement. I was ready to call the ambulance when she got up very quickly and seemed very cool. I made a fuss thinking she was hurt but she said "I know how to fall, learned it from daddy". Couldn't believe it.

Forgive me for giving into my base emotions and commenting on this, but the story is hysterical. I would rank it right up there with you biting Ollie Reed as a moment captured in time.:D I can almost see the expression on your face as you looked Juan deadpan in the eyes and told him you learned to fall from your daddy. Oh Lord that is rich. :rotflmao: Funny thing about is, probably no one else in the world could have pulled that off. I can almost hear your father in the background watching the incident whispering to your mother, "That's our girl, she follows instructions well."
With that being said, I think it best I now go into hiding.

I think that's house of long shadows is a must to see too. i happend to find a version of it without
Elivira I didn't even know that a version was out.
it's the perfect final film for C.Lee an P.Cushing
together as a team. but when released to dvd whenever that my be I am gnna buy it the day it comes out.:D
