Just something I found at Moviefone_com
11. One Actor, Two Decades of Reading.
Actor Christopher Lee, who will turn 80 in May, and who plays Saruman, the evil wizard, had read The Lord of the Rings each year for the last 20 years before he was hired to be in the production. "Christopher Lee was definitely the most knowledgeable about Tolkien," says Cooper. "He would go into Weta Workshop, knowing a lot of the artists and sculptors working there were fanatics about the books, and he would quiz them with trivia questions from the books and they wouldn´t know the answer. He's so classic in his delivery, an has that amazing deep voice, and he'd say, 'Come on now....'"

Saruman appears in the three books, but according to some rumors, there will be some changes in the script, so that Saruman might die in the second movie.
Anyway, if there is a precuel of The Lord of The Rings: "The Hobbit", Saruman might reappear as the leader of the White Council of Wizards.

As far as I recall, Mr. lee indicated he would be in all 3 films. Don't know if that's changed, but I'm pretty sure it's still like that. There is a photograph going around that supposedly shows Saruman's fate, but I believe it's a hoax.

Mr. Lee has said explicitly that he will be in all three pictures.
The facts about his prodigious reading of the book is encouraging.
Saruman is only, technically, in the last two books. In the first book, Saruman is only seen through Gandalf's recounting of his imprisonment in Orthanc.
The impaled wizard picture, I think, is genuine, having originally appeared in a newspaper. Ian McKellen has said that it was not Gandalf, so who exactly is getting skewered remains a mystery. It may be that the film-makers decided against altering Saruman's death.
If they recount the Scourging of the Shire properly, Saruman should be killed by Grima.

Mr. Lee has implied that Saruman's demise will be somewhat different from the book. Other information suggests he dies by being impaled on a spike of some kind, possibly as a result of a fall from Orthanc. However, whatever the case, Mr. Lee recently stated that what will be seen on screen will be 'effective'. And the fact that he is happy with it must bode well.

Thanks for the info this do sounds great and I agree with Mr. Lee that the Saruman's demise will be effective , and I also heard him say that he hopes he does the third film which will be in 2003 when he's 81 years old , and when I read the third book of the LOTR trilogy I noticed that the Saruman part is not long so I think in the third movie that Mr. Lee will be in it for 15 minutes in the movie but in the book wormangue or whatever actually slit Sarumans throat with a knife , but as you say that it might be different, that he might die in the second movie , but I think he charater will die in the third one , but I'm not going to say how I'll watch it and see .
Best Regards ,
