Juan,
I have an old audio cassette recording of an interview of Mr. Lee by Tom Snyder on The Tomorrow Show from May 30, 1978. The audio quality isn't great -- there is a slight buzz from the television -- but I could share either a copy of the recording or make a transcript of the interview. I'm wondering if permission is needed from NBC (it was done 23 years ago), of if Mr. Lee's permission is sufficient. It's covers Mr. Lee's living in the USA and a very funny story from his early days on live television, with a poor fellow actor with uncontrollable gas! If you haven't heard the story, please ask him about it! Anyway, if it's allowed, I have this interview to share. Please let me know if you can use it.

Hello,
This is Juan's brother Oscar. Permissions are needed so I will have to speak to Juan about this.
Regards,
Oscar

Hi Maria,
As soon as I get back to London, I'll ask Mr Lee to gain permission from NBC. I'm 100% sure they will not refuse, so we will need to find the most convinient way to put it up on the web. The audio recording would be ideal. Send me a PM with the cost of the tape reproduction and posting, so I can send you the money. If you prefer, I can send you the new T-shirt instead, which will be due in less than a week.
Regards,
Juan

I'd be happy to send the tape, no charge! I'm delighted to be able to contribute to the website! Please send me a private message with an address, and I'll send it along!:D

A DJ friend of my husband can record the interview on cd in mp3 format. Would that be an easier format to load onto real media? Can mp3 files be sent as an e-mail attachment, if the computer doesn't have a mp3 player?
Working on it!

Maria, you can email it depending on the size of the file after it's converted to MP3. Most email servers won't accept anything over 5MB. If it's any easier you can send a copy of the tape to me. I have the software to convert it to Realmedia and I can send it to Juan that way. I also live here in the States so it will save you time and shipping costs. He and I both have cable/DSL modems so large file transfers thru Paltalk are quite simple. Some of us have exchanged files as large as 75MB at one time. On cable that took close to an hour. On 56K we would still be transfering it to this day.:mg:

I haven't sent it yet! I was asking if it would be easier to sent it electronically via mp3 on cd -- I haven't even had the recording put on the new format yet!

It would be great to be able to hear a rare interview such as this. Hopefully this is something that will happen more often in the future. Uncovering rare archival work related to Mr. Lee and making it available on the site would be an excellent feature.

Wendy,
Maria sent in the tape and it's in the post on top of yours to hear. You look lost, you must be working too hard.

Juan,
Thanks! I am so lost is right! You are correct on working hard! This has been the worst working season ever! Since July, I have to say that it has been a paperwork/administrative nightmare! Thanks again, for your patient replies!
