Hi, I'm a new member and wanted to ask a couple of questions.
Shogun Warrior. Has anyone seen it? The reason I ask is because it will be shown on BBC1 the 29th.
Where can I get a region 2 Wicker Man DVD? I know is out in the US, but I can't play it on my system.
:( I wish to take this opportunity to send my most sincere condolences to the people of the US. We are with you all the way. Good bless.

Good to have you among our merry band, Donald!
I have "Shogun Warrior" as "Journey of Honor" here in the States, and it is a fine film.
I think people in Region 2 are using region-free DVD players for "The Wicker Man" thus far, but I'm not sure. Jacob is probably all over it, since "The Wicker Man" is his favorite movie. I hope you get to see it on DVD soon!
Again, welcome.

Hi Donald and welcome.
I'm looking forward to seing the film, even if my wife says it's terrible. There is a trailer at the filmography section, it looks like fun.:D
Take a look here
It has subtitles, I believe the're showing the original version which is in Spanish.
The Wicker Man is only region 1, for now.

Hey there,
Nice to see a new face in here :)
Well, I bought the DVD from the US, mainly because I am using my computer to play it, i cant play it on a normal DVD either at the moment.
I think the main reason I got it was because I heard rumours that the special edition wasn't going to be Reg 2 issue, Please Jacob, if I am wrong you can come over here and slap me :)
But, I took the chance, and certainly haven't regretted it.
Vic

Thanks for answering my questions.
I've ordered the DVD region 1.
Juan
Never knew that I could connect my PC to the TV and use a remote control for interacting with the DVD software. I have the necessary cable to do it, but what about the remote? Would you please explain all the steps?

Donald
For the remote, you need to buy a remote control system for your PC or a small remote keyboard with or without mouse. Install it following the instructions and that's it. You will be able to bring all the menus on the screen and adjust all the settings remotely. You can leave your computer in standby, everything will display on your TV. You can even surf the web or play games. For more information go here
I had a digital PC satellite card in my other computer and could control everything from one remote. The keys can also be programed to do any function you want and works with TVs, VCRs, stereos, etc. My brother has all the fun with it now.
If you can, watch Jinnah. It's being shown continuosly on SKY digital. In fact, it's been on for the last 6 months.
