With the final upgrade of the website coming, we need volunteers to help in certain specialist areas. Mainly with translations.
NEWS
Regular translation of Charles' news into:
French
German
Spanish
Italian
Portuguese
Russian
Or any other languages.
Help is also needed to translate all static areas of the website. This will be just a one off.
Please reply if you can spare a couple of hours a week and are fluent in any language.
FORUMS
Moderators who can speak a second language. We already have a couple of volunteers but are desperate for more.

Thank you Steffi.
German is as important as English for this website. Stay tuned while we make your control panel ready. I'll e-mail you the location and passwords now, so you can make yourselves familliar with the thing.

To those of you who have kindly offered to help,
We will do things in small stages as I realise there is so much to do and not enough time. The first and most important thing, is for those of you helping with the translation is to write a welcoming message in the language you have chosen.
This will be the first page that visitors of that community will see, you can either write your own or ask Charles for help.
Once you have the message done, please e-mail it to me and I will setup the initial page for that community. The next stage then will be to setup a navigation structure and allow you direct access to the news publishing script and setup up a forum for that specific language which you will need to moderate.
I believe that once the initial structure has been setup, visitors from that community might be willing to help you with the translation of other areas or offer some content of their own.

For those volunteers who have kindly taken on the task of composing a multilingual welcome message, and may be a tad unsure of how to go about it, I've put together a sample which may prove helpful as far as length and content.
Welcome to Christopher Lee Web!

Sorry about the late mess. We needed to upgrade our Technobross website, so we stoped on this one. All the foreign language pages/communities have been setup and all of you involved have been granted access to the Newspro program.
I will e-mail you as soon as possible instructions on how the program works as well as the rest of the information. If you have any doubts contact either Charles or miself, specially regarding the use of NewsPro. Whatever you do, please don't be scared to experiment, all mistakes can be corrected and you cannot destroy any information.
You are also free to recruit any help from other visitors fluent in your language, so they can help you with the translations. Just let use know so we can set them an account.
I don't know what would be better, if to have the current forums into categories and languages or have a new board for each language. Suggestions?
The advantage of having them all in one place is those of you which are multilingual may find it more convinient. Also, being all toguether in one place and sharing different languages maybe a lot of fun. As Vicky, Jacob and Charles can tell you from the mix up at the chat room with the Brasilians. veeki, veeki, veeki. LOL!!!
