OK, so he wasn't exactly a pirate in Crimson Pirate and Hornblower, but they did have a pirate somewhere in there and he is a 18th Century seagoing type.

Loved his whole look in "The Crimson Pirate" more than "Devil Ship" or "Hornblower." Haven't found "The Pirate," and got ripped off by a disappearing eBay seller on "Blood River."

I did not include TREASURE ISLAND in the poll as Mr. Lee's screen time is extremely limited compared to the films I did list. If this is your favorite CL pirate film, then vote for it!!

"Treasure Island" is on my here-but-not-yet-seen shelf. I've heard that Mr. Lee gives a really powerful, effective performance. Should move it higher on the agenda. I do tend to get tempted away by the eye-candy and hard-edged stuff over the more literary and dramatic. Have you seen it?

I'm also trying to second-guess Joe before the next contest round that I'm in. I have no idea which week I'll be up, but I'm pretty sure I won't be through the average back-log of twenty unseen Christopher Lee tapes unless I forget about making a living, and "Blind Pew" looks like a fairly recognizable character.

Personnaly I love Treasure Island. The performances of CL, Ollie Reed, and Charlton Heston are superb. You don't really think you're going to second guess me on the comp, do you, Rebecca?

Not a snowball's chance in Haiti.

I should have phrased that, "I'm trying to figure out which of the films here would give me glimpses of CL characters I'm not likely to have seen elsewhere. I'm sure whatever Joe comes up with will be killer no matter what, between tough questions and my just forgetting certain looks in films I saw over a month ago, like that one from "The Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism" (which I have, and saw, but didn't identify the picture on), and all the films I haven't seen."

I guess that's not really "trying to second-guess Joe," but that was a lot less typing!

Well Daniel, it would appear you have voted. Like most other polls here at the forums, write-in votes do count.
