While going through my music collection, I had nearly forgotten about a song dedicated to Mr. Lee. It's called LIKE CHRISTOPHER LEE, and is by the German group TWO WITCHES.
They're a Gothic music group, and the song is very much in that vein, with references to dark fairy tales and, of course, Mr. Lee.
If anyone would like to hear it, and cannot find the album, I would be happy to provide an mp3 of it. Just someone let me know if there is a best way to make it available.

Domenick,
Barring any problems with the copyright, we'd be very interested to hear more about it. If you could supply information regarding the copyright holder, I expect that our Webmaster could look into the possibility of providing an online link right here. The key, as always in such matters here at the site, is to respect the owner of any particular copyright. The last thing we ever want to do is violate the rights of an artist or business. If you have the album or disc, check out the details of the company that produced it and foward them to Juan Aneiros, our Webmaster and we can see what the situation is in terms of the ability to reproduce the song here.

From Napster eh? Great. If anyone needs the lyrics, I believe I still have them, though the words are pretty easy to make out.
I sent Juan an email regarding any possible copyrights, but I don't see any problems arising if this is made available here. I haven't heard from the band in a while, but I know they were touring last year in Finland.
I was wondering if anyone should let Mr. Lee know about this, if he's interested. Mind you, it's not his type of music, but it's not a "loud" song, per se, either.

Thank your for your interest and helpfulness.
I am sorry to say that we are not interested in dealing with MP3's at this website. There are moral and legal issues involved and I don't see that song has anything to do with the topic of this website. That is of course other than the fact that the song mentions Christopher Lee.
Have you seen a picture of the group? Hardly something Mr Lee would like to be associated with.

We must be careful with all these kind of things.
Mp3 and trading tapes is illegal. The guests at the
websites might bring law enforcement on these discussions.
Be careful.

I'm definitely in agreement with you there, Juan. Well, at least there is a way, for those interested, to hear it.

How about having a 'spot Christopher Lee' section, where people can post different thingies that make references to Christopher Lee, for example this song.
That way people will know what to look for if interested, and any copyright issues will be automatically solved?
Just a thought
Robert

Robert,
The News and Articles Forum was originally conceived to be an information exchange of places where one has spotted Mr. Lee, articles pertaining to him or where one could trade information on products such as new DVD releases, etc.. Unfortunately the forum was rarely used in that capacity so the format has been changed to reflect more current news and site related news and articles. Until a serious need arises for a specific forum or page to handle the sort of thing that you suggest, I recommend that members keep posting stuff in this Discussions Forum.
If you or anyone feels they have discovered a motherload of information, products or other great finds, just contact me directly, and if it is relative, it may be worth posting in the site news.
Any news can be sent to: Charles@christopherleeweb.com |
