There are so many. If yor favourite is left out, post it and we can replace it for one with a lower score.

I said "Other."
It would have been Dracula, but for Kurt Menliff. I'm totally gone for him. He's the character that made me a fan just prior to joining the club.
I have around 80 (mostly used) Christopher Lee movies now and, while I haven't seen them all, I think it's likely that, if I'm lucky enough to become a shriveled up old hag, I will still be able to close my eyes and think of Kurt Menliff and feel like I'm fifteen again. (I'm actually about half-way between those two ages now.)
This brings to mind a painting that appears in the background in the Christopher Lee film, "Theatre of Death," which I saw yesterday for the first time. The painting looks for all the world like a portrait of Kurt, standing in his black cloak, looking tall, and handsome, and arrogant. When I get the video capture board put back in one of these machines, I'll snag a frame of it and post it. The picture will speak for itself, and I won't have to keep talking about it until I make everyone sick.
Probably too late. | |

Lord Summerisle...he has the same sense of humor as Christopher, ha. The scene in his Lordship's home with Sergeant Howie: "But haven't these people ever heard of Jesus?" "He himself the son of a virgin impregnated, I believe, by a ghost...do sit down, Sergeant, shocks like these are best handled with the knees bent." (I'm quoting from memory, sorry, I know a few words are off...) I love the interaction with the Laird and his prey, er, guest.
Wonderful character...

I voted for Jinnah, because his performance was just out of this World.
My second favourite is Lord Summerisle and I have to agree with Pam, same sense of humour. I will always remember the answer he gave the German interviewer after his life time achievement award. It was funny and very sarcastic, yet he said it so nicely and with such a lovely smile.
My third favourite is "Raptor", he has also some similarities with the character.
My fourth is Rocheford, he is nasty but so cute.

I hate voting for the best character because there are so many characters that I love.
I have allready voted for Jinnah, no question about it.
The characters I haven't voted for are
Second: Major Longfellow.
Third: The Captain in Devil Ship Pirates.
Fourth: Rasputin

My favorite Christopher Lee character:
the Duc de Richleau from the Devil Rides Out.
Why? Well that was the first movie of Mr. Lee's that I saw and I thought him so heroic and noble that I wanted him to be my dad (I was 7 at the time I saw the movie)! That character was just so special to me, needless to say I was stunned when I saw him in the Three Muskateers but months later...
Second favorite: Rasputin, because you could tell Chris was having a blast making that movie. And the scene where he calls to Barbara Shelley via hypnosis is just grand.
I enjoyed Lord Summerisle and the baddie in the Muskateers movie too.
I'm sure I'm going to add Saruman to this list too.

My utmost favourite is Jinnah followed by a very close second as Rochefort and possibly then Mr Midnight.

My top five are, in order:
1. Lord Summerisle.
2. Rochefort.
3. Dracula.
4. Scaramanga.
5. Fu Manchu.
But. . . standing somewhere above them all, with a special warm place in my heart. . . the Creature.
