Great news for all of us on this side of the Atlantic!
Gormenghast will be coming out on DVD, in a couple of months.
The release date advertised is July 3rd, 2001.
On most online stores that i have visited, it can already be pre-ordered.(Amazon.com, dvdempire.com etc...)
This will be a must for all of us, i know that all the people who saw this one ,had only nice words to say about it, and mr. Lee has a lot of screen time in it, so just a couple of months, and we will be spoiled with another great addition to our DVD collections!!!!!
Take care!

It's an excellent dvd.
I looked at the extra's at dvdempire.com and it
seems it is the same version released through the BBC
in Europe.
Which means it will come on 2 discs.
Higly recommended

I for one can't wait for it to be released.
It will make a nice addition to my DVD collection which in it's current state is quite tragic.

Will the US version be exactly like the UK version, or in other words with the US version be letterboxed at 1.78:1??
Cheers.

I got Ghormengast as  christmas present last year.
I watched all episodes in one row.
Great series!!!
" Drop Boy", "Kitchen scum"
No respect for these stones.

The latest info on www.imagine-entertainment (click on search and search for gormenghast) make it look like the DVD will be full frame and not letterboxed like the UK release.  Hope that this is will change before release date.

Just a quick correction. Information on Warner's Region 1 DVD release of Gormenghast can be found at the Image Entertainment website located at www.image-entertainment.com with a direct link to the Gormenghast page being found here. Unfortunately, according to the info available there, it appears that the DVD may be a full-screen version.

Thanks Jeff!

Actually, the DVD is released by Warner Bros. and distributed by Image.  Image has a database of all current/upcoming DVD releases.
