After I came home from a great vacation in London I found out that a package was waiting for me at the post office. That package was my order from amazon.com and the order was my copy of "Mio in the Land of far away" (DVD). Jacob has put together a great review and my comments to the film is mixed but the DVD is something different.
Once again Anchorbay entertainment has realy proved themself to be the top of the DVD market and this DVD realy shows it. When I saw this film on tv for the first time the picture was awful and the sound was bad, but this DVD has it all. Digital dolby surround 2.0 and a crystal clear picture thanks to a great transfer and best of all it's a widescreen presentation. The film in my own opinion is good and it has a farely good cast(with Mr Lee as exeption). It's quite strange to see Christian Bale as a very goodhearted person and realising that this young actor who is now a grown up has recently portraid a murderes maniac in American Psycho. I enjoyed the film with the fact that Mr Lee was in it but in my own opinion the book is much better. When I saw it as a kid I thought it was magical, but now I have changed my mind.
