It's a start. A damned GOOD start. Now if only the other long awaited Lee/Cushing Hammers could find a way to DVD life would be really good!

Oh man, best news I've heard in a while. I hope to God it is a widescreen print! The Mummy is one of my very favorite Hammer flicks and I've longed to see it in all its lush-looking glory!

Rumour is that the DVD will indeed be the widescreen print used on AMC (no word on 16x9 enhancement). The bad news is that it will probly be very low in the extras department, maybe a trailer. The worse news is that it's probly only coming out to try and capitalize on the release of the Mummy Returns and dont expect Curse of Frankenstein or Horror of Dracula anytime soon. Where's Anchor Bay when you need them ;). Cheers.

Indicators are that the Mummy will be 16x9 enhanced and in widescreen (1.66:1 methinks). Retail is supposed to be 19.95, however www.dvdplanet.com has it's retail at 14.95. With their discount and shipping total comes to $12.97.

Unfortunately, it would appear that the disc will be rather bare bones. No commentary and maybe a trailer. It's just being released to try and cash in on the Mummy Returns.

Now I guess we'll have to wait for the next vampire or Frankenstein remake before we'll see Horror of D or Curse of Frankenstein :(

Why cant they all be like Anchor Bay? :D

Cheers.
