I have heard rumours that a film of the next two books in Anne Rices' vampire series is being made. Is there any possibility that we may see you in this. After reading the books I think you would be perfect for the part of Marius.

Wow, what a concept! I just got through rereading _LeStat the Vampire_. I think Lee would be great as Marius, but maybe even better as Enkil (aka Osirus), considering his history playing the Mummy! Christopher Lee rocks!:1roll:

I don't think he will do a vampire (Dracula) movie again.
You can find the answer here.

Hi Jacob: That's not surprising. I mean, I've been a Lee fan for years, but I hadn't really noticed him in too much until Sleepy Hollow. I was very pleasantly surprised then--I thought it was cool the way they shot his part as judge, with the angel's wings montaged behind his shoulders. I'm really glad to see him in so many big projects. Dracula (as well as any leading role) is demanding in terms of physical strength and presence, but these roles of Marius or Enkil would not be demanding; much of the activity they do could be digitally enhanced, and probably would have to be for Enkil, who moves faster than the eye can see. The Enkil part would be a small part, and if Lee were to play the role, he'd have to do very little. The idea is that Enkil kind of combines the role of the vampire and the mummy, and explains the legends of both vampires and mummies. Anne Rice's narrator, Marius, a Roman vampire, explains how he became the keeper of "The Ones Who Must Be Kept," Enkil and Akasha, the first vampires, who are the real legends behind the Osirus and Isis myths. They very rarely move, except when they get riled up, then...look out! LeStat stirs them up. Anyway, while it would be cool to see Lee do it, I can understand why he wouldn't want to play any more vampires. Bela Lugosi suffered tremendously from his typecasting, and I like to see Lee playing roles other than the heavy. He's just so darned good at it! I'm looking forward to LOTR, too, and I know Lee will be perfect in the part of Saruman!
I can hardly wait!:D

I'm also really pleased to see CL doing other stuff. I especially enjoyed his role in Ghormanghast. But there is a slight difference between Count Dracula and the vampires in the Anne Rice novels. The idea being that whenever they became vampires that age remains static. This means it can be a young man, or someone of a more mature appearance.

I'm really looking forward to The Lord of the Rings when it is released, however I was rather surprised that CL was playing Saruman, I could see him more as Gandalf.

after all saruman was quite a nasty piece of work, or is this type casting due to the Count Dracula history.

Although I don't really look upon dracula as a baddie. Quite attractive in his way!

Juan Aneiros is on a distinguished road
All your answers are all over the website.

How can you call playing Saruman a typecast of a character he has not played for over 30 years?

He did no play Grandalf, because he said he was too old and meant being away from home for a very long time. He has explained this in a few interviews. He has also said on several ocassions that he will never play Dracula/vampires again and he is fed up having to talk about it too.

To discuss Draculas/Vampires, I suggest the following websites:

Here is a vampire quiz:

Here is a very funny page, some of the posts sound like e-mails we have been receiving since this site was open:
