Anchor Bay has announced Scars of Dracula, Blood from the Mummy's Tomb and Horror of Frankenstein for DVD on 8/7.
Scars features a Christopher Lee commentary :D.
Cheers.

You can pre-order these titles on http://www.amazon.com.

You can also pre-order the Special Edition dvd from 'The Wickerman'.
I just did that. :D

I've been perusing the Anchor Bay site and looking over the upcoming Hammer release titles and noticed a few interesting features regarding their Scars of Dracula DVD. There is a red sticker notice on the front of the image that indicates that not only will the first 10,000 copies contain a free bonus DVD of The Many Faces of Christopher Lee but that two Christopher Lee music videos are also included. I, for one, am eagerly looking forward to August 8th.

Cheers,

Thanks for the info, Jeff, Jacob, and Charles!

I wonder if any of the first 10,000 copies will make it to Amazon. (I just pre-ordered there after reading Charles' post about the extra goodies for that first batch out of the oven.)

"Scars" is my absolute favorite Dracula movie -- I'm really looking forward to this!

I wonder the same thing about Amazon, Rebecca. I assume that they will receive some from the first 10,000 copies, simply because they are a huge retailer and the biggies generally get priority when it comes to fulfillment from distributors. Besides, 10,000 is actually quite a large number when you consider the market for Hammer titles. Mind you, I'm talking through my hat here, as I have no real idea what sales figures or production runs were for previous Hammer titles from Anchor Bay.

I guess we shall have to wait and see.

Just a quick mention that an advance review of the upcoming Scars of Dracula DVD can be found at DVD Drive-In. The review can be accessed directly by clicking here. The reviewer mentions that this is the best-looking Hammer DVD release yet! Judging from the posted screen caps, I'd have to agree.

Cheers!
