Well, at the request of Lovely Rebecca, here is my little unforgetable Christopher Lee moment.
I was in the quew (At the back I might add) to meat Mr.Lee. I was VERY nervous of-course as everyone else was. As I'm approching him trying not to collapse, I was thinking 'just put the book down, get it signed, say hi, and dont do anything out of the ordinary!'
So what do I do??
I go and stuff my face under Mr.Lee's glasses!
As he was signing my book..
He said: 'Are you trying to look under my glasses?' in his deep scary voice.
The truth was that I was just posing for a photo.
I told him this, and he said 'oh, well I'll take my glasses off for you, they will reflect in the camera'
So he did, and we posed. But I didnt think the camera worked properly, but Christina took some, so I thats good.
After all this Mr.Lee checked to see if he had signed my book, because he had forgotton. I didnt stop him checking as I wanted to spend as much time with him as possable, of course! :)
I didnt think anyone noticed me looking under his glasses, but everyone did!
It was unforgettable, I'm glad It all happened!! :)
I want to meat him again!

Thanks for sharing with the rest of us, Greg!
I can just see you with your face down near Mr. Lee's for the photo -- close enough to maybe really see through those fashionably large frames -- and then... hearing that deep voice...
Hee hee! What a moment!
Thanks! :D

I can just understand how it feels to meet Mr Lee personally:
I also went to a signing and got my book signed. While I was queueing I was so incredibly exited, even out of my mind... All other fans were much, much older than me and I was the only one who was really losing my mind.
When Mr Lee looked at me I started smiling an incredible big smile which seemed to amuse him as he returned the book back to me saying:
"Thank you" in that deep, deep voice.
I said "Thank you" as well as he answered "Oh, you're welcome!Really!"
Then he shook my hand and when realising that it was really cold he added: "I'm sorry, that you had to wait for so long outside, must have been freezing..."
My smile grew even bigger, I grabbed my book and left the room, feeling that I was the happiest person ever that day...
I'd also love to meet him again!
(Madlyn)

You guys(and girls) are so lucky,
Over here in New Zealand we don't really get many book signings espacially with people of Mr Lee's calibre.
If there is one person that i would love to meet on this planet it's Mr Lee...maybe one day i will strike it lucky ;)
It sounds like you all enjoyed yourself and i wish that i was there to see the glasses incident Greg ,it sounds like a classic moment.

haha cool, I know he was only joking when he said it, and probably curious as to why I was looking under his glasses :)
Oh well I have plenty of time to figure out cunning ways of getting the actual 'Priceless look' for when I turn 21!! :D
wow, I got 2 looks for the price of one at the Barbican!!

Just ask him if he will play Dracula again anytime soon Greg. You WILL get a "priceless" look. One that will rival his best screen performance. |

haha, thanks for the advice Joe.
I could do that, or just shout 'Dracula' from the other side of the room. :)

A stern look of curiosity and then a gentle smile I should think Madlyn! (In my situation anyway) :)

Ha Ha..pretty funny stuff indeed,
Mr Lee could give me any look he wished ,i'd just be so honoured to meet the great man himself that any look he would give me (stern or smiling) would be fine with me.
Maybe when i come over to the U.K next year i will get the chance..(dream on Andre)
