Last Saturday, we recorded a video with questions from Joshua Griffin at TheForce.Net .
Mr Lee went to great length in answering every single question. The main subjects were Episode II, George Lucas, Lord of the Rings, The Oscars, The Riding of the Laddie, villains and of course Jinnah.

Joakim,
Yes, younger generations. Kids used to run away from him, now they watch from a safe distance. :1devil:
The cigar is a Montecristo No5, bought at "El Corte Ingles" in Barcelona. Never seen Mr Lee as happy and relaxed before, cigar in one hand and cricket on TV. I used to hate cricket but if you have Mr Lee explain you the game, watch him jump up and down in excitement, his knowledge of the game and shot predictions, you'll love it too. Shame it was cold outside, otherwise we would have gone to the garden for a lightsaber demostration with his real swords. Not me, Christina.:P
PS. Please change your avatar or I'll have to change mine. I get confused when reading posts.

Once again, another great interview with The Man himself. Most enjoyable and informative. I'm surprised Mr. Lee is not aware that he's touted to return in Star Wars Episode 3, as I've now read about it in several different places on the net.
By the way, American Magazine Video Watchdog reviews the book "Christopher Lee: The Authorised Screen History" in issue #82, on stands now. Christopher is getting lots of ink these days.

Not aware of an appearance in episode 3? Canny fellow isn't he? Surely the earlier comment about confidentiality might be read as giving a bit of insight into that particular situation. One thing is as sure as death and taxes...and that is that Mr. Lee lives up to the letter of any contractual obligations, another is that he is not one to foment unconfirmed rumours...make of that what you will.
On listening to the video, his answer was that he has an option on his services but has not yet had that option taken up. He did however indicate that he would be pleased to appear in Episode 3 when, or if, that option is taken up. ;)
Cheers!

He has been aware since he got the script for EpII. He thought, perhaphs you could even say he was certain but in his business nothing is ever sure and people can change their minds. George Lucas never told him.
Every single rumour that goes around that involves him, be it in the net or in the press, he is aware of.

Well, I am sure he will be great in EP3.
ADMIN:
Has the Jinnah movie ever been released in the US, would he be eligible for an Academy Award nomination if it was released?

It is always a joy, and a lesson, to hear a professional give his opinions about the industry to which he belongs, and Mr. Lee's latest video Q&A is, of course, no exception. Beats hell out of Variety (which in light of Mr. Lee's comments, might not be the best choice for comparison)!
Thanks to Juan's efforts I'm pleased to see that Mr. Lee has fully embraced cyberspace and appears to be very comfortable in using the 'Net to directly address his fans (although he has been doing so for very nearly 2 years now, I can't recall ever seeing him so relaxed and at ease). The opportunity to enjoy Mr. Lee's insights about a business that fascinates all of us here, in so direct a medium, is indeed one of the many characteristics that make this site such a distinct pleasure to be a part of.
Cheers!

Yes, it was nice to see in depth answers, I would love to see him go on the Actors Studio show for the Bravo channel.

No, the movie has not been released in the US yet. In order for it to be considered for an Oscar, it has to how in so many cinemas in LA for a certain period of time (can't remeber how many and for how long). It can still be done. Would he get a nomination if it was? 100% sure but he'll be in the Academy Awards next year anyway, so is not that important.

Well, I would love to see the film, and hopefully the exposure of EP2 will help it get released. I think the rules are it has to screen before Dec 31.

As his Horror Icon status starts to die down, he relaxes more and more. Go to the Image Gallery and check him out in his latest pictures, he is starting to have a lot of fun. There is one picture, which I will not publish, in which he is virtually fighting with Jesus Franco who seems to be enjoying himself too. I can just hear him say, "Don't bother me with your films Jesus, I'm a very old man".
"It's a disgrace" And we warned him not to say that. 10 minutes of the video had to be cut because not one of us could keep a straight face and Mr Lee kept practising with the tone of his voice and pulling faces.

I just spent a worthwhile hour of my time watching and enjoying the Force.net interview with Mr. Lee (I should have been using the time to write an appellate brief mind you).
I must say that I was impressed with Mr. Lee's humanity and approachability above all. I don't imagine that many film actors interact with their fans in such a unique way. We live in an age where actors are placed upon pedastals and the chance to interact with someone on a pedastal is very rare. Mr. Lee through his active (or seemingly active) involvement with this website demonstrates that he actually wants to hear OUR reaction to his work and OUR questions regarding upcoming roles. Bravo.
I was also impreseed by his professionalism, he seems genuinely dedicated to his work, and views film acting in a refreshing way.
Mr. Lee - thank you for your time!
