During the
"XII Edition Horror and Fantasy Film Festival" of San Sebastian, the last episode of TV series "Erase una vez en Europa" (Once Upon a Time in Europe) was shown. This documentary examines the different genres produced in Europe between 1955 and 1975 and includes interviews with over a hundred actors from five countries. The series, made up of thirteen episodes of half an hour each, makes a journey through films produced in Germany, Spain, France, UK and Italy. All episodes are presented by Christopher Lee, who was selected for being the actor who best represents the genres in Europe, including the Spaghetti Western; French Detectives; Spanish, Italian and English horror; Fu-Manchú, and Sumuru. Comments and declarations from actors, historians, and other film professionals highlight the episodes.
The series, produced by
Media Park and directed by Carles Prats (script by Carlos Aguilar), will be shown on PPV channels throughout Europe beginning in March 2002.
