All I can say is that this was the most memorable night of my life..sitting just a few feet away from Mr. Lee. He talked non stop, poor Mr. Rigby could not get a word in, no disrespect to Mr. Rigby, but that was a good thing. I could have listened all night. Although I have read some of the anecdotes, it was brilliant hearing it coming from Mr. Lee. He was very, very funny, even finding time to answer question from the audience, one in particular which prompted him to talk about 10 minutes on the subject with a very funny anecdote....Great stuff.
TWO THUMBS UP !!
Colin

I have never laughed like that ever.
The guy who couldn't stop saying 13 was the
best part. And the wonderful actor story aswell. Thank you so much for this wonderful
evening Mr Lee. TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!

The new high quality recording of the Barbican Screen talk is simply fantastic!

Mr. Lee's comments on Jinnah are as enlightening as they are enlightened. Moving on from Jinnah, with Jonathan Rigby along as an admirable navigator, what we have is Mr. Lee in full narrative flow, relating anecdotes, opinions and details of his life and career. All this is told in his usual amusing and self-effacing style. You may have read some of the anecdotes before, but until you've heard Mr. Lee tell them, you haven't had half the impact. No one delivers the line "You are too tall and foreign looking to be an actor", quite like Mr. Lee!

If you didn't get to the Barbican on the night itself, this is definitely the very nearest thing. Do yourself a favor, go listen to it now, you won't regret it!

I agree with Joakim the best part was Mr.Lee's reaction to that guy who kept saying 13! LOL

You would laugh more if you were there to see him!

What a difference between the old audio file and this one! I was so disappointed that I couldn't understand the first one. This one is great! Thanks for the heads-up, Charles!
