Oops! An after thought: I can easily imagine hearing Hugh Grant speaking Mr. Cushing's habitual "My dear fellow" with all the innocence and sincerity of the original. I try to hear Terence Stamp saying the same phrase and I hear an underlying, sarcastic sneer. Maybe I'm 'typecasting' Mr. Stamp. . . but. . . there you have it.
