I think that "House of the Long Shadows" starts too slowly and is not helped by an inept and inexcusably arrogant performance by Desi Arnaz Jr.
However, as for the performances of the principals - Vincent Price's bouts of soliloquising, Christopher Lee's straight-faced sinisterness and Peter Cushing's drunken ramblings - are brilliant.
The conversation between Vincent Price and Christopher Lee at the end almost reflects their years together as close friends and mickey-takers...
Luckily enough, I recorded the film from a local television station in 1990 and still have the copy today - there are adverts on it, but it is uncut!
