Well, I watched this film last night, and I kind of liked it! (So sue me! ;) )

SPOILER

I thought Mr. Lee was wonderful in the prologue, really wonderful! As for the rest of the film, I didn't really like Jason Scott Lee that much, but thought Sean Pertwee was good, and Shelley Duvall and Michael Lerner weren't bad either. But what made me grin after seeing it was the EXTREMELY downbeat ending! I had expected some standard moronic ending where the hero gets there just in time and saves the day, but here he instead gets his heart ripped out and has it eaten by Talos! I didn't expect that, and I like films that surprise me. So, that's my opinion - and OK film which could have been better with a better leading man.
